Dear Chris,

Now that I`m back home in Scotland*, I thought I would take a moment to reflect and to thank you so much for your kind support and sympathy before and during my mother's funeral.

Many of Mum`s friends and family have expressed their appreciation and how moved they were at the whole service. This is, in no small measure, due to your help and empathy throughout.

Richard watched** it at the weekend on his return from his camp in the outback and was equally appreciative.

Sincere thanks from all of us.

Kind Regards,

Huw

* Huw and his wife travelled from Ullapool, north Scotland to Oakley Wood (530 miles each way) for the funeral of his mother Phyllis; taking over nine hours driving - each way.

** Webcast - seen by Huw's brother living in Australia.

Hi Chris,

Now I’m on the way back home to Italy I just wanted to spend a couple of minutes to thank you for the remembrance service you organised for my dad last Tuesday.

It was a wonderfully peaceful and in some ways happy occasion - so nice to see what he meant to a lot of people. Had he not lived so long there would have been many more present but alas one of the problems of living to a very old age is that many of your lifelong friends aren’t there at the end!

Anyway we all found it very tasteful; it’s a location blessed with a beautiful view and I suspect you didn’t notice it but a small rainbow actually appeared in the cloud on the distant horizon towards the end of the service.

Thanks again for all your hard work and the sensitivity with which you approached the whole question from start to finish. A great help to all of us.
