Hi Chris,
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for Dad’s service. It all went really well. We are all broken and will be for ever. Not sure how I will recover but I’m on the pathway.
Thanks once again. Kind regards Rayny

Rayny is one of Peter's daughters.

Hi Chris,

I’m just sending you a message to say how you did a very nice and very respectful service - Pete would of enjoyed it even though he went to very few funerals - he always sent me to them all - even to his older relatives who he didn’t really know well as having been fostered so long his family was a mystery to him.

Did you know his foster Mum wanted to adopt him (was why he was brought back to his real Mum) & she’d loved him so much that she named her son Peter - bless her when we found out I traced the family which wasn't hard as so much of Geoff Dukes’ life was documented but his wife had died many years ago so he will be having his own reunion 70 years later bless her.

At the same time Raine [Rayny] had found out about his Fathers other families he had two First sons but couldn’t find their Mum - then his wife no1 had 10 children Pete’s Mum had a child with her 1st husband - his Dad was the Mayor of Coventry at the time but she left him for Pete’s Dad, she had 4 sons & after having the TB & operations to remove one of her lungs she ended up marrying another TB sufferer who’d stayed on to look after her the drugs had made him deaf as they were still testing them - then his Dad remarried a very young woman & she had 8 more but in the end we found Pete had 25 siblings if his stepfather had given us his address we would have known that our eldest children would have have Aunts younger than they were bless.

Thank you for you kindness & devotion to your artistry in your work.

Kindest regards
Joan & Pete & Chicks xXx

Dear Chris

Just a note to say thank you very much for taking Dad's service yesterday - I hope you managed to warm up eventually, it was a very cold, wet, miserable day.

Dad's funeral was the celebration of his life we were hoping for so thank you for delivering the service so poignantly with grace and sensitivity.  We could not believe the turnout at both the crematorium and reception - a testament to Dad's involvement within the community for such a long time.

The involvement of the RBL [Royal British  Legion] in honouring Dad was very special.  Becky and Charlotte's poems were perfect too - we were so proud of them digging so deep and delivering them so beautifully - that was an extremely emotional moment.

We had such lovely comments on how personal the service was and it summed up Dad perfectly.  He would have been so proud.

Thank you once again, Chris.

With kind regards
