So many people have commented to me what a wonderful tribute it was. As a family, we send you our sincere thanks and appreciation for helping us through a sad and difficult day. Keith Chinn | The Loss of a dear friend Keith Chinn by David Lees | Rainsbrook Cemetery and Crematorium, Rugby. Keith Chinn was a work colleague, a friend, a gentleman. I had known Keith since the late 1980's when we were both employed within Jaguar Cars. At first we were simply piers in the organisation whose paths crossed only because we sat nearby. As the years rolled on we worked closer, so close, in fact, that we began a little social group with two other work colleagues, Bob Prew and Craig Fry. As Keith's illness became apparent my wife and I met socially with Keith and his wife Clare and we became even closer. We loved Keith's story telling, his dry humour, his ability to talk about the Jaguar business, the people within and the situations that presented themselves to him. We loved his stories about horse racing, even though my wife and I know nothing of the sport. We loved his stories of a simple job he took after retiring from Jaguar Cars ... we loved all his stories, wondered whether there was any poetic license in any of them, but loved them all the same. Throughout all the time I knew him, Keith, above all things, was a gentleman. He was impeccably mannered, a truly gifted people person and simply just good to be around. I shall miss him dearly. Thanks for the memories, Keith. A service for Keith was held at Rainsbrook Cemetery and Crematorium and was led by Chris Tabor, a celebrant who spoke eloquently about Keith's life, his family, his work and, of course, his love of horse racing. Chris managed to portray the significant elements of Keith's life in the form of an excited horse racing commentary which was no mean feat given the location and the event and which he pulled off marvellously. Thank you, Chris for helping many of us through a very difficult time. |
| A Wonderful Service... Edward Bicknell by Paula | Heart of England Nuneaton As soon as we first met you Chris, it was very clear that you wanted to give our dad Eddie a service that was appropriate and fitting for him. We were clear from the start that we wanted this to be a celebration of his life and with your understanding, caring and experience, you made ‘his’ day one that both Paula and I and Eddies wider family and friends would never forget. It’s often difficult not to feel sad and sombre as you come to terms with the passing of a loved one but the service that you performed for Eddie was a true celebration of his life. It was uplifting, it told his story, acknowledging the people who enabled him to live the life that he had, whilst allowing us time to reflect on his wonderful life through what was a fantastic and very touching visual presentation. Chris, we can’t begin to thank you enough for leaving us with such a happy memory of our dad. |
