Walsgrave cemetery was established in 1893 making it a truly Victorian styled cemetery.

It is not the easiest of cemeteries to find. If heading from the north south and following a sat nav, Woodway Road suddenly stops before the M6 in a park.  Navigating and using intuition around the M6  to the east is needed.

There is no parking in the cemetery.  There is a small parking area just outside the main gate for three-four cars.

The cemetery is virtually 'square' in shape. It is formally laid out in rows and contains Commonwealth War Graves.

In the centre of the cemetery is a beautiful old chapel.  Unfortunately it is not used and in some disrepair. On the front side of the building is a fascinating and interesting plaque. It commemorates the very first interment. Mary Quinney buried in 1893.
