Burial Service Cemetery

A Burial Service Cemetery is tailored to what you would like to say or express your goodbyes. There is no longer a set format or way we conduct this service.  The Clergy (of what ever faith) will follow a set Religious Rites format as laid down in their doctrine and procedures. For myself conducting the Service, I will discuss what you may wish to have and offer suggestions, guidelines and ideas. You would take the elements you like, and together we will create a unique send-off and goodbye.

The Burial Service Cemetery I conduct for you can be formal, semi-formal, relaxed (easy-going), Religious, semi-religious, non-religious. The style and format is not pre-set.

I will, with you:

  • Plan, create and deliver a dignified Burial Cemetery Service. The style and format of your choice.
  • I will create and conduct the service at any Cemetery in the West Midlands - further afield by request.
  • This includes visits to you (depending on where you are in the UK),
  • Create a  Eulogy or Tribute especially written, liaising with your chosen funeral Director and other people if applicable.
  • My role is to make sure everything has been thought of, and the Burial Service runs smoothly on the day.

      Fee:  £275.00

Please Note - Burial Service Cemetery

If the burial is to take place in a church cemetery/churchyard, the local or incumbent vicar will want to conduct the Service him/herself as the churchyard is consecrated ground under Church or Canon law. Church of England / Church in Wales own approximately 70% of all Cemeteries, 9% by Private owners, and local authorities own around 21%. It is estimated 80% of all churchyards are full.

Council-run cemeteries and private cemeteries will give permission for myself to conduct the Service. I offer a number of options and ideas for Burial Services Cemetery. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Ideas could include (but not limited to); a pre-service in a Crematorium (Celebration of Life), to a short Burial Service to having a much longer (along the lines of a 'Celebration of Life' Service) at the Burial grave side. This may include elements such as us being seated, talking, listening to poems, Readings, a Eulogy, Tributes, music and much, much more.

To Think About

If the person you are planning the Service for is still alive (Pre-death, imminent) and has expressly wished a burial in a cemetery, you may wish me to meet them before they die.  This is not a problem. If the person has just died, and you have not yet called a Funeral Director or company.  Call me.  I can help.  If you have called a Funeral Director and engaged them, call me and I will help you through the process.
