The cemetery is located on the Widney Manor Road in Bentley Hills, Solihull with the postcode - B93 9AA.
Car Parking
Just inside the main gate, turn right into the main carpark. It is not huge, but ample for most times containing around 30-35 car spaces. The carpark is not gravel but tarmacked.
Walking to the cemetery can be accessed via exiting the car park entrance (turn right out of the car park) or, in the opposite direction over the grass to the cemetery and turn left. Either distance is pretty short and easy.
The grassy area is used as the car park overflow holding around 20 additional cars or vehicles.
For wheelchair users, the easiest is to wheel via the main drive. There is a very slight slope up to the cemetery and crest.
Blue Badge Parking
There are 4 Blue Badge spaces clearly marked with general signage and road markings. The Blue Badge parking is roughly 25-30m from the main graveyard area.
The ground is just-about level and with fully wheelchair access. Dropped kerbs with access to generously wide paths are everywhere in the cemetery making mobility scooters and wheelchairs alike welcome and easy to use.
Assistance (Guide) dogs
Assistance and guide dogs are welcome and are permitted within the entire cemetery grounds. There are a number of Dog Waste bins dotted around the cemetery.
Widney Manor Cemetery is dog-friendly (if dog owners control their dogs and pick-up their dog's mess - and of course place in the correct bins!)
Water bowls can be requested by asking the friendly and helpful staff.
NON-assistance dogs MUST remain on a lead at all times and be kept under control
Waiting Room
Widney Manor Cemetery does not have a Waiting on site for those families waiting for a burial or scattering Service at Widney Manor.
However Robin Hood Cemetery and Crematorium has one (12-minutes away, 4.6 miles) - just outside their chapel and can be used if desired.
