Papyrus is a UK Charity set-up for the prevention of suicide in young people as well as the positive promotion of mental health and emotional well-being in younger people.

PAPYRUS

The Charity was founded by a group of bereaved parents in 1997.   Each of the parents had lost children to suicide. Papyrus has now offices in offices in north west England, south west England, West Midlands, London, Northern Ireland, north Wales, south Wales, and Scotland.

Their national helpline, called HOPELINEUK, is manned by trained suicide prevention advisers, whose aim and goal is to help keep young people safe from suicide.

HOPELINEUK is a confidential and FREE call, text and email service.  The service is available from 9:00am to midnight 365 days of the year.
