When a parent hears that their child's life is going to be short can be devastating. The child could have years, a few months or just a matter of hours. Whatever the time period, Together for Short Lives steps in to help in whatever way they can to make the most of that precious time left.
Many children have complex conditions and may need 24-hour specialist care, seven days a week. The Charity supports, helps and does whatever it can for the child and parents in those vital times.

Helpline
The helpline is set-up to give confidential and emotional support along with information to help the family understand and cope with the situation. Families are not alone. The charity links families with the support services, organizations and other families who understand what the family is going through.
Palliative Care
The Charity has over 1,000 members who care for seriously ill children be they Children Hospices, statutory and voluntary organizations and professionals. Every support or service is personalized or bespoke to each and every family's needs.
Awareness and understanding
Together for Short Lives raises awareness of childhood death and campaigns for policy changes in order for families and children obtain the correct, right support and care.
Funding
A vital part of any charity is funding. Together for Short Lives has a number of collaborative partnerships that make things happen. The partnerships make sure that children hospice care not only continues, but more importantly improves. Donations, gifts and help are always needed to continue the essential work needed to be done.
